Marriage Equality is a big deal. A really big deal. Our brides Sara and Jill couldn’t agree more, and this fall they finally made legal in Washington state what they’d already done in Canada in 2007. They invited their family and friends to celebrate with them as they tied the knot stateside in a more or less traditional Jewish ceremony.
Brass knuckles theme? Check. Lightning bolt light-up 7.5 inch platform heels? Check. 180 year old family heirloom veil? Check. Custom made dress with actual corset top? Check. Top hat and Tails? Check. Flowers provided by the local women’s prison? Check. Bridal portraits on a motorcycle? Check. Homemade moonshine? Check. A toast wishing the couple as many happy years as total combined tattoos? Check.
