If there’s one thing I can unequivocally say makes every portrait better – it would be makeup. It brightens the eyes, softens the skin, evens tone and adds definition. It’s a miracle worker. It’s like Photoshop for the face – only better. That being said, I know that there are a lot of people in this…
You’ve pictured this moment since you slipped on your engagement ring for the first time. You’ve dreamed about it since you were a little kid looking through your parents’ wedding album. Watching “Say Yes To The Dress,” you notice every bride buying $10k dresses talks about it. It’s that moment where you first see…
I love details. I love gorgeous close-ups of rings, shoes, and painstakingly sculpted sugar flowers. I love a pretty shot of an empty reception hall glittering with candles before the guests swarm in and clutter it with bags, coats, and half-full glasses of wine. The flowers, the food, the DIY masterpiece… I love it all.
Beautiful moments. You know the ones I’m talking about – they’re all over the wedding blogs and Pinterest. They’re those pictures that take your breath away, and it’s clear that the photographer caught something special.
Are you recently engaged and starting to plan your wedding? (If so, OMG! Congratulations!!!!!!!) If you haven’t already figured it out, wedding planning can be so much fun, and yet simultaneously so overwhelming.
There are very few brides or grooms out there that don’t have a worry in the world when it comes to figuring out how to budget their wedding. As wedding photographers, Mike and I get to see a lot of cool wedding ideas in action. We love it when we see a couple who is creative about how to save money.
If there’s one question that I get asked by almost every couple we meet with, it’s a variation on “How long will photos take?”
Because I said so. The End.
Alright, I’ll be serious. Well, not sarcastic at the very least. That’s all I can promise.
Okay. Okay. OKAY! I know that it is still September… But in all fairness, I started getting pumped up for Christmas back in July. And no, I’m not referring to that ironic “Christmas in July” thing, I mean really truly being ready for Christmas. So forgive me my punny title. But this girl is going through withdrawals. So, I’ve included a couple photos from Christmas theme events… just because they were awesome! (And yes, I am part of the problem.)
I can’t count how many times I’ve heard that now, or some variant of it. Undoubtedly, at some point during the day of the wedding, I will hear it. It may be a thankful bridesmaid who can’t quite figure out a bustle, a bride thankful that baby wipes are generally good at getting dirt off of hemlines, or a groom that doesn’t know which side the boutonniere is supposed to be pinned on (the left). They always seem so amazed, like I’m some magical fountain of knowledge.
