Kelsie is one of my very best friends. We met during orientation in college, and hit it off immediately.
I love details. I love gorgeous close-ups of rings, shoes, and painstakingly sculpted sugar flowers. I love a pretty shot of an empty reception hall glittering with candles before the guests swarm in and clutter it with bags, coats, and half-full glasses of wine. The flowers, the food, the DIY masterpiece… I love it all.
This winter snow has been harder to find than normal up in the passes here in the northern part of western Washington. The snow came late, and ever since it did show up, there’s been a whole glob of rainy days to muck it all up.
This weekend, Mike and I flew down to Fresno to photograph his cousin’s wedding. The affair was a simple and intimate one – only 33 people (including us) were in attendance.

As a photographer, there are few things more awesome than documenting a family over the years.
So what do you get when you tell a bunch of wedding professionals to plan a party for themselves? Well, you get a crazy-pretty event, with great food, fun music and dancing, a signature cocktail, and epic pictures to prove it (that’s where we come in!).
Fall color is one of the best things about the change in seasons. The crisp air moves in, and suddenly all the green gives way to pops of gorgeous yellows, oranges, and reds.
There’s something special about doing your senior photos DURING your senior year in high school.
