If there’s one thing I can unequivocally say makes every portrait better – it would be makeup. It brightens the eyes, softens the skin, evens tone and adds definition. It’s a miracle worker. It’s like Photoshop for the face – only better. That being said, I know that there are a lot of people in this…
Natalie graduates from Snohomish High School today. She’s the last of her siblings to do so, and to mark the occasion, all of her older brothers (and a couple super special bonus-brothers), decided to surprise her and all show up. They haven’t all been together in one place for years…. The feat was no small…
Every now and then I meet a kid, and I think to myself: How do you have time to sleep?! Jenny was totally one of those young ladies, in the best of ways possible!
There’s something special about doing your senior photos DURING your senior year in high school.
This weekend my family came up so that I could take my step-brother’s senior photos. It’s not every session where I get to go help shop for the clothes that they’ll be wearing while I photograph them, so this weekend was a little extra fun. Here’s some of my favorites from the afternoon out at Jenning’s Park. BONUS: I even got him to pose for me the next day while we were out at the tulip fields in Mt. Vernon, and surprised his mom! Woot!
Earlier this week we had a quick glimpse of what spring is always like in the movies. It was rain-free, only mildly chilly, and lots of flowers filled the trees as I drove through town. Of course spring is rarely that wonderful here in the greater Seattle area. Heck – it’s generally miserable throughout most of the Pacific Northwest. But, we had a couple days… so naturally, the photographer in me pounced on the opportunity, and I got everything set up to meet up with Josh for his senior photos. We started off at Jennings Park in Marysville, and then headed into downtown Everett where we were graced with an amazing sunset! Overall, it was a great evening. I wish all guys were as fun to work with!
This week I managed to find a break in the rain, and worked in a really sweet senior session as the sunlight was getting warm toward the end of the day. Deshaughna, a 2014 Lake Steven’s High School senior, was super fun to work with. That always helps make magic happen. Check out the photos from her session! We even snuck in a picture with her mom.
