Sometimes life throws you a curve ball. For Jan and Stacy, life threw them about 5 all at once. One of those curveballs was the decision this fall to get married. This last weekend, two months after they made the decision, they said yes in front of family and friends. It was an evening full of smiles and a few nerves. (A few minutes before the ceremony, it finally hit Stacy that she was about to go stand up in front of a room full of people watching her.)
They got married at the Kirkland Arts Center, which is a super cool space for a smaller event. It was a wonderful mix of arty, urban, and a little bit ornate. There was even an art piece that was simply the word “Yes.”
We were there both as friends and photographers. It was such an honor to watch these two beautiful women marry each other in front of an arch full of memories from their individual lives all mingled together. And then they served boozy hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows. I mean, who can be mad about that?
