Heather and John are getting married this Spring in Seattle. They both love the water, so naturally their wedding venue had to have a great view, which is why they chose to get married over on Alki. Wanting to incorporate the water into their engagement shoot as well, we planned for a sunset shoot in Mukilteo. Unfortunately, we got there to find that the area had been blocked off and reserved for a wedding that was currently underway. There was still enough time to catch the sunset light, so we decided to head down to Edmonds.
Their wedding date is 3/21 – so I decided to have some fun and make an image perfect for their save-the-dates.
I have to say that I’ve never been so happy to be on my backup plan! The skies were amazing, and the beach and marina proved to be a really fun backdrop. Heather and John were so much fun to work with, and we’re super excited for their wedding!
And now, for some of our favorites from their waterfront engagement session:
After talking with Heather and John during our shoot, it was really obvious they were bummed about missing the opportunity to take some photos at the Mukilteo Lighthouse. Afterall, that was one of the first places that they went when they came out here from Ohio, and part of why they fell in love with the water! So, we decided to offer to meet up with them for a few minutes to take advantage of the beautiful summer weather that will be gone before we know it.
