I read a posing guide somewhere once that basically said the one rule for posing toddlers was to not try to pose toddlers. Why? Because it’s basically impossible. That was very much the case with Liam this year. He’s never been the kind of kid that lasted long during a photo session, so going in we knew we needed to just let him have fun and follow with the camera. I think the photos we wound up with are pretty awesome, if I do say so myself!
The first half of our session was an indoor shoot at home. Liam was so much more relaxed at home than he’s ever been for shoots at my house! I’m glad we made the decision to do portraits there, now that they have a new house with lots of room. The other half of our shoot we did on another day out at Howarth Park in Everet. We took advantage of the gorgeous setting sun’s light, and I think the results are ah-mazing.
Please note: Liam was NEVER alone standing on the rocks, and any photos that look that way are courtesy of the magic of Photoshop.
